TECTYL 846 is a solvent cutback, wax base, general purpose, corrosion preventive compound. TECTYL 846 meets the performance requirements of Military Specification MIL-C-16173D, Grade 4. and is excellent for long term protection of metallic surfaces against corrosion in either indoor or outdoor exposure and during domestic and international shipments, like machinery, machine rolls/tools, automatic parts, dies, tubing, and spare parts. TECTYL 846 cures to a dark amber colored, waxy, translucent, firm film.
